Good to see Folkestone not only feature on Channel 4's Relocation, Relocation 1 last night, but also being the outright winner! What a great house. Shame they didn't have time to give as much blurb about Folkestone as they did about Deal and Ramsgate. Also a shame the guy's not commuting into London. I commute into London, it's not that bad!
The winning property was a five bed Victorian townhouse, on with Fell Reynolds 2 for 595k, which they got for 518k! Not bad! Can't find it online, but it was called the "Manor House" somewhere, so guessing it's on Manor Road...

This is my site The 'Gerald that I set up in a fury of excitement when we first moved to Folkestone sometime in '04. I had been a frequent visitor for a while previous to that but I am technically one of those DFLs you get nowadays. This site was updated more frequently with a calendar of events + voting for favourite places and things, + I know it was a useful reference for others who were moving here. Now Iʼve moved out of Folkestone again (though only a couple of miles) it doesnʼt get as much love as it used to. Ironic really as Folkestone itself is now becoming the exciting place we knew it was just about to. I am not Gerald by the way, the name comes from a fake paper in an episode of The Day Today or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, + how there is a local newspaper here called the Folkestone Herald.
