Also went to Earl Brownes in Hythe yesterday, it's new, and it's quite swanky... an interesting mix of styles, from the tudor beams in the bar, back to the bedouin style drapes at the back. A bit bright in there, but very nice. No real ales, but they do have Bitberger on tap. Menu looks nice, a bit of a mediteranian style mix, some of it feels French or Italian, but then they have fajita style dishes too. Only been open three days, go and have a look...
⬅️ Merry Christmas from the Kings Head :: P I A N O M E N U ➡️
This is my site The FG that I set up in a fury of excitement when I first moved here sometime in '04. I had been a frequent visitor for a while before that but I am technically one of those Down From Londons you get nowadays. This site was updated more frequently with a calendar of events and voting for favourite places and things, and I know it was a useful resource for those who were moving to the area. Now Iʼve moved out of Folkestone again (though just to Hythe) it doesnʼt get as much love as it used to. Ironic really as The town is now becoming the exciting place we always thought it was about to become. My name is not Gerald by the way, this comes from a pretend newspaper in an episode of Brasseye or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, and how there is a local newspaper here called the Folkestone Herald. Puns like this are great arenʼt they? Do get in touch if you have something to offer, email anythign @ this domain, or try @folkestone or @pauly on Twitter.
