Andy tells me there is a new raymond feist series 1 on the way:
Bound to be "a young disadvantaged boy, starts to come of age when a cataclysm happens and he is thrust on a journey battling against the forces of evil and eventually becomes one of the rulers of the world". But it's set in a new world, so that's alright.
I hope it's not too alien, my favourite books are set in a recognisable mock-medieval setting, I don't like those that are this mega-level-god battling that mega-level-god with just no reality at all. Servants scurrying round castle passageways are more the sort of thing.
I'm reading The Riddle of St Leonards 1 still right now, not on a kindle though. It's not great, but it's the period and themes that I like.
