Blog2014 ≫ Changing the favicon dynamically

You see the little pirate picture of me up by the location bar there? That's the favicon of this page. I've been saving this bit of code 1 for a while, had it open in a tab, I'm trying to think of a good use for it. Gmail uses it to show the number of emails in your inbox, and this site has a game 2. Can I think of anything useful for any of my websites? I will try...
