Blog2016 ≫ Splendid weekend

Mum and Dad visiting, it's always a good weekend then. Not just because they get up first with the boys so we both get a lie in! We had a really lazy one this time, only went as far as Hythe to go in a cafe, and then back again. Clare was in Hythe anyway for a hair cut, she had walked in, so we planned to drive in, meet her, then I'd walk back to get my step count up. Dad decided to walk with me so we popped in the Potting Shed for one, very nice. Was very very quiet as it's the first day of the Six Nations and England were playing Scotland. There's a big real ale / rugby crossover, and the Potting Shed being a micropub they don't have a TV or anything. We had one then walked home in time for the second half.

Got a takeaway from Raj Villa (aka Raj Bari), which was very nice but a long time coming. Phoned it in, estimated 40 minutes to come and collect it, then we were waiting another 40 minutes after that. Not sure if they bother to start making it until you arrive. Was very busy in the restaurant, they were turning customers away. Nice that it's popular, it being so close to us.

Did swimming with number two son today while Mum and Dad watched Number one son doing gymnastics, as Clare is working.

Hoping for a relaxing rest of afternoon now, though the boys are running round and fighting at the moment. I'm trying to sort out getting Jim's HP Chromebook fixed, it won't power up, seems to be a common problem. I have dismissed this before as user error as it was fine every time I tried it but it really looks like it has a problem. Charging light works, one other led is on, but there's no screen, no action at all. Might be a different problem to others I've found online, the battery might be ok. It's out of warranty, and I can't figure out how to contact HP support at the moment. Don't buy an HP Chromebook.
