The hotel was so close to the Good Mixer it had to be my first pub really. Used to be in here a lot, a good starting point most Fridays in the 1990s. Don't think it had changed much though perhaps my memory is not up to the task in hand. Still a pool table in each of the two bars, the same Irish theme running through. A bit more britpop and later memorabilia in there now, things that were current then, but are history now. A broadish mix of punters in there, mostly alternative type crowd. No celebs, no-one I recognised. Not like the old days. Had a good pint, a Sharp's I think.
