Blog2019 ≫ Windy parkrun today

12th today, best position ever though not my best time at 22'04. Was hella windy out there, made for a fairly easy bike to the parkrun as the wind was going that way but I could not cycle back at all. Even had to pedal hard downhill. The wind didn't make the run itself too bad as it all seemed to be across, rather than in your face, but still not ideal. Weather got MUCH worse later in the day so glad I missed that.

This guy came in not much slower than me 1 and he carries a 25kg pack on his back. He's raising money for the Gurkha Welfare Trust 1.

Parkrun was a lot quieter than normal, that's why I got my record position. Partly because of the weather but partly for the rugby. I got home before the end of the first half still and watched the second. Disappointing.

Have been swimming this afternoon too, so technically a triathlon. Got plenty wet enough just to and from the car too, the weather really is shocking. The high winds have moved our garden around, the trampoline was thrown across to the other side.

Peaceful night in tonight, thing one is out at a sleepover and Clare is going out too. So just making curry for my tea and pizza for thing two and we're going to put a film on, and then watch Dublin Murders and Daybreak when he goes to bed.
