Tried the beetle out again yesterday, and it would not start again. It was not that cold or that damp so the previous excuses I had made for it no longer apply... I thought I'd take a chance on the battery instead. Bit of a struggle to get the old one out, but I went up to Halfords and got a replacement. Fitted it this morning and all is good again.
The cold in the car and the cold in the office has reminded me of heated USB gloves that I was looking for last year 1. They did not seem to be an affordable thing this year but they are now 1. They're undoubtedly dreadful knock off stop working instantly, but I might give them a try. It's cold in the beetle.
Or maybe these "for clod weather" 2...
