Weather is a bit up and down isn't it? Yesterday we went for an exercise walk-and-bike and it properly booted down with icy rain just as we were at the half way point. Thing one raced off home on his bike, thing two raced on to the nearest shelter, and muggins here had to jog to keep up. I got soaked. Was that the second time I'd got soaked that day? Or was that the day before? I went for a a run and the weather caught me so I got soaked then too.
I went running this morning and it was fine, no rain. Pretty breezy though.
I had a very successful Morrisons shopping trip yesterday, they have a great range of beers. I got some of the Brewdog collaboration that we enjoyed last week, and some other similar "West coast IPA". I filled up two bags with beers, so much so I couldn't carry it all home. Let me rewind slightly, I went to Morrisons on the offchance on the way to Jim's to return his car. My plan was drive the car there, and scoot back. Yep, borrowed thing two's scooter and I'd be back in no time, surely it's all downhill? This meant I could only actually carry home what I could fit in my little backpack, so just a couple of beers really. I left the rest of the shopping at Jim's and we'll pick that up when we do our next shopping run.
Turns out it is not all downhill on the way back from Jim's, it felt mostly uphill. The final bit going down Hospital Hill is downhill, but that was a bit too fast and dangerous for a middle-aged man on a microscooter. I don't think I'll do this one again.
