Hot out today, mostly still, sunny, very warm, 9° - 19° degrees today according to the forecast. I really need to automat that weather report. Anyway I went for a run, first one this week, and it was a bit warm for it really. Still pleased I have done it, though it was over twenty five minutes for 5k. Clare is off this morning and she is finding it as frustrating supervising their work as I do.
Tuesday's quiz really broke up the week, so it's Thursday again already and time for my weekly Zoom call with my buddies. Ro, who is the instigator of this also went to a comedy gig via Zoom this week, which seems to have worked well. As a result I've bought tickets for one next week, featuring Greg Davies, Tom Davis and more. And it's on a Tuesday, so that's that week nicely broken up again. If these weeks keep going quickly I'll be back at work before I know it.
I did more reading, though not as much as I could have done if I'd not been investigating graphs on popex (though really pleased with them) and images in twitter previews. Popbitch board still not publicised yet. This lockdown is going to be over before it gets used at this rate.
Author | Book | Thoughts |
---|---|---|
Ian Rankin | Westwind 1 | Dated thriller, shame. |
Ian Rankin | Doors Open 1 | Really good crime caper in Edinburgh but with no Rebus. |
Suzanne Collins | The Hunger Games 1 | Borrowed from the children, very good. |
Suzanne Collins | Catching Fire 1 | Hunger Games part 2, read this even quicker, a bit darker. |
Suzanne Collins | Mockingjay 1 | Hunger Games part 3, joyless and grim. |
Karen McManus | One Of Us Is Lying 2 | Another one liberated from the children's bookshelf. A Breakfast Club whodunnit, not at all suitable for a ten year old... |
