Our plan worked, we did a long walk yesterday 1 and then headed back to the garden, where we received a beer delivery from The Firkin Alehouse. It was awesome, lovely weather, like a proper pub garden afternoon. Alwyn had got us some pasties and crisps too.
Today looks like another lovely day. Clare is at work and the boys are pressuring me to have a lazy day. I don't need much pressuring really but I will try to resist and drag them out somewhere. Some minor housekeeping and DIY tasks before that, I need to fix the toothbrush holder that broke, then I might - might - clean the windows too. I will also finish my Julie Wassmer book while the boys are gaming too. It is becoming more predictable as it goes on this one, but still good, and I haven't solved it. I did predict how two of the murders would happen.
I'm getting them dinner from the new place in Sandgate - The Hungry Seagull, if they can decide what to have. So far they can't, so they might be having beans on toast.
