We did a normal family day out today! Had forgotten what they were like. We went to Port Lympne, and it was fairly normal. A small queue to get in, everyone has the same idea of a day out, and this is one of the only entertainment places that is allowed to open so far. We had a timed entry booking, but it was just to stop everyone turning up at once and making a longer queue apparently, we were not restricted on the time we could spend there. Not all of it was open, and we were quite distant from all the animals that we could see. The boys enjoyed it though, even more than we thought they would. I had to go round the dinosaur bit twice, that was a big hit.
Weather was quite bad in parts, it was very odd to think I'd got sunburnt two days before and then we were sheltering from the rain under trees.
Weather did clear up again, so it is dry but very very windy. I took a walk to the Inn Doors to get some takeaway when we got back, and it was a struggle to walk back home again.
Yesterday was really good, we did a long walk 1, two friends and I, and we finished in one of the gardens with a waiting beer delivery from The Firkin Alehouse. Very nice, then home for tea, then fell asleep in front of Glastonbury footage. I just missed the Arthur Lee set, and our internet has been a bit patchy so not caught up on iplayer yet. Not seen any other sets that I have loved, but I really liked the Julien Temple Glastonbury film 2.
Will be watchig more later.
