We had a lovely day. Much lovelier than the poor lorry drivers stuck in their cabs just up the road. Just the five of us for christmas day but nice to get together over a video call with mum and dad and sister and nephews too. Everyone got a good haul, even though we failed on the Playstation / XBox mission.
We had way too much food, have loads of leftovers, and Clare is making another big dinner today. The wine was good, we had wine club cava and prosecco and then the cabernet sauvignon I got as a birthday gift. My keg of beer was a little disappointing, but I struggled on.
I'm making another terrible game, just to try out web sockets for multiplayer... I now have multiple devices racing emus and jumping over sprouts in the same game, but it's ultimately pointless. I'm not wasting any money on a server for it so it's only devices in my house. So it's just me. Gaming should be more fun than this.
The money is still put to one side and I will be getting the boys a new console ASAP, I don't think emu-sprout-jump-race is going to cut it..
