Walked past the Inn Doors yet again tonight, out into the dark and the drizzle after work. I like to do this to decompress from the day, to get some fresh air, but also to calm down a bit after thinking about the news. There's going to be a number 10 press conference soon where they're probably going to announce we're going into a proper lockdown, and that our little one should not go to school tomorrow. It's ridiculous if so that they're doing it at this late stage, instead of doing it before he'd gone back in and mingled for the day. Ridiculous is bread and butter to these guys though.
Anyway, my walk, the Inn Doors, I think the curtains had moved. New curtains went up at around the time the christmas decorations came down, but today I think they had moved, I think they had closed slightly. I think they are going to close a bit each day, maybe to suddenly open up one day as a beautiful butterfly of an open pub. I hope they're not closing them slowly so that people won't notice (most people) and then the place will be emptied while no-one can see.
