I ran to Sandgate after work instead of Hythe, for a change. Piece of cake though, no wind, no rain really, not even cold.
A big fire at the barracks up the road 1. Some pretty hateful comments in the reply to that, makes you despair of people a little bit more. Sounds like the guys at Napier Barracks kicked off because there is an outbreak of coronavirus there. At some stage everything went on fire. We just saw two fire engines taking a shortcut down our road after leaving the site.
Dreadful day on the shares, everything has plummeted, I think I'm actually in a loss now. It'll bounce back. The trading app we're all using has now blocked buying of American shares. I have some American shares, including Tesla. I can sell them but I can't buy more. Even Tesla are dropping at the moment though.
Really really annoyed with Three today, who I did use for a while for home internet. I used their 4G for broadband, and it was bad and unreliable and too slow, so I stopped using it. When my year was up I couldn't get a response from them when I tried to cancel. You can't email, the online chat wasn't working, and I couldn't log in or get through on the phone without a Three phone number. I did have a Three phone number in theory but didn't know it as we only used the SIM for the internet, and I'd even thrown that away. So I cancelled the direct debit. They emailed today to say I owe them money, it was a two year contract not a year. So I have to keep paying £20 a month for a service I can't use. I should have complained before, should have tried to get a refund right at the beginning as it just wasn't good enough for us. But I didn't, and then I threw it all in the bin. Rubbish.
Last Friday of Dryanuary of course.
