Spent the day struggling with a broken laptop. Luckily my work one not my personal one! Sort of luckily anyway. The battery ran completely flat yesterday and since that point it won't start up for more than a few minutes before it shuts down again. Work IT support gave me a number to call at Apple support, they diagnosed it remotely, apparently it needs half replacing. Not completely replacing. Someone will arrange to come and get it, fix it in their van maybe, and then bring it back. I am making do on this older laptop, which is mostly just fine.
The Fountain looked a lot quieter today when I went for my walk, only one or two tables in the garden were being used. It was another lovely bright and clear early evening, but it is still very cold.
Are there murmerings of more of a lockdown on the way?
