Had a lovely Sunday. Went to the Inn Doors for an hour or two in the afternoon while the boys were gaming, then Clare came and picked me up and we went for dinner. I say "bonus" meal out, it was all planned and everything, it is just an unusual thing for us to do on a Sunday. We went to The Waterfront 1 in what was previously Hythe Fish Bar or something, on the sea front in Hythe. It was very nice indeed, fairly short menu but just the right things for all of us. We had cocktails first and then a bottle of wine, and then to top it all off a taxi home, very decadent. We will be back when we want to show off how fancy we are to visitors.
Back to work with a bump today. Clare is doing a whole week of lates, so it is a weird one.
Sixteen years ago today we were watching Queen, I should say "Queen" in quotes really. It was a show without Freddie Mercury of course, and also no John Deacon as they all have been since the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert. Someone in the Inn Doors was talking about when they saw Queen in 1975, at Manchester Free Trade Hall. I was fine about it, not at all jealous.
