I nearly forgot, on Saturday I did a triathlon. Sort of. I went running in the morning, then we went swimming in the afternoon. Actual swimming this time, not me just dropping him off. It's a bit odd at the moment, you have to book a whole lane, so a family group cost the same as just for the two of us. After a bit of a tentative start, and maybe inspired by me doing a few lenghts, he did some proper swimming. I've not seen him swim a width properly all year, and suddenly he did a length. Then another, and another. Then some jumping in, then some more swimming. He was very keen and enthusiastic and I think the next lesson is going to go really well. We're going to try and go again every weekend until he graduates from that swimming club.
Third part of my triathlon, cycling, I cycled to the pub and back. I wasn't meant to be going out at all, Clare was going out, but she cancelled. They did not have a venue booked, and everywhere that was showing the table was booked. I took a last minute chance on the Inn Doors, they were fully booked but I squeezed in.
Next stop Denmark!
Wow work was busy again today. I had two new starters and had to show them through everything, they're going to shadow me for a few days. I got stuck on something for a few hours, probably wasn't that interesting for them, then we had a meeting where we had to do some really vague estimates of things that we honestly won't be held to, hmm.
This evening has just gone, we had dinner then had to go round to Jim's to feed his cat, and give the cat tablets. And we had to wait an hour between the tablets and the food. I read a bit of my book 1, nearly finished it, really been dragging this one out. Also did my Duolingo, I'm on a 355 day streak now, nearly a year without missing a lesson. Apart from the ones I missed and used my points to buy a "streak freeze".
