Of course these subscription deals are not the best value, they rely on you signing up and then not being bothered to cancel them. And it has worked out nicely for Brewdog, I thought I'd just paid for three months but it auto-renewed after that, so I'm either getting another month or another three months before it's really cancelled.
Flaming Licks just put their chilli box up to £25 from £18, I think in theory there's another jar in there, but I'm not getting through it as fast as I once did. I think I could go to the deli in Folkestone and buy fancy hot sauce when I need it. I'm just postponing the next box and set myself a reminder to see after that.
Wine list by the glass 1 does say at one point on the page "3 small glasses per month" though mostly it just says "3 glasses" and I'm not sure 100ml counts as a glass. Not even in a pub or a restaurant, definitely not at home. I'm sure I sound like a philistine who just wants to chug it, but then at heart aren't we all? The one I tried was nice, but that's partly because I was savouring it as it was a scarce and precious commodity. The introductory box is a great deal, but I don't think I would benefit from the digital masterclass or the tasting notes that form part of the package.
An annoying extra job now is to do another passport photo for thing one. Mine was accepted, we did it at home on the phone and I have my new passport already. His has been rejected and we keep forgetting to send another photo. It can only be because of the lighting, a shadow in the background, as everything looks ok to me and it was accepted by the online checker.
