Train to Appledore cost more than expected as we could not use the Network Card, and then the walk from there to the Snargate was not super fun as there are no paths, just a busy road. But, the Red Lion is well worth a visit, it is an amazing place frozen in time. Not sure which time, somewhere between 1700 and 1970, though it does have modern conveniences like card payments. They only had one beer on as they'd had a rush on the day before, but it was good.
We got a taxi from there to New Romney and went in a micropub there, then got a curry, then waited ages for a taxi home. Good day though.
The bad weather missed us entirely, it got quite stormy last night.
Should I not have a day off to follow a day like that? I do not.
