Blog ≫ 2021 ≫ Nearly forgot I am going to a gig

Talking with Andy about gigs and nights out, he reminded me we planned to go to gigs last year. I looked it up and I still have the tickets for the rescheduled gig in February 2022 - we're off to see Love/Hate. In Camden, that London. Not expecting too much of the gig but it should be a good day out, good to have a reason to meet up. Thinking I can get a hotel and go into the office the next day. I can't expense the travel or anything but it's good to get in another day of showing my face without having to pay extra money. Who knows by then I might be told to be in every day anyway...

Both boys were sick yesterday. Thing two feeling sick, under the weather, the school phoned me to collect him at lunchtime. Thing one actually spewed on the bus on the way home. He was very unhappy about that. Both seem to be find again today but I kept them off. Have convinced myself now that I don't feel quite right, but I'm sure it's just the thought of it.

I just remembered I walked past this place on my way back from Winchester 1 and coincidentally it was a bar Andy had recommended but couldn't remember the name of. Looks really good, and it seems kids are allowed in until 5pm (though it's mostly a cocktail bar) so we will definitely be visiting one of their venues 2 on our next visit to London. The boys recently watched Around The World In 80 Days 3 so are very happy with the concept, and Clare and I like cocktails, so it's win win.

Did you know the films are called Around The World In 80 Days 3 but the book is called Around The World In Eighty Days 3? I bet you didn't.
