Blog ≫ 2021 ≫ New sofa is in
New sofa was delivered today. We're not quite sure about it. After all this wait and all that money! I think it's good, but we're just going to have to change the rest of the room now. It's smaller than the old one, so now I need a little table at either end of it, so probably going to have to get rid of that console table. One fun thing is that while the boys have seen it and sat and played games on it, they have not yet figured out it has electric extending bits. The buttons are quite subtle. I wonder how long we can keep this a secret.
Some goood results for today though, let's have another list:
- The stonks are creeping back up, still not quite in profit though.
- We got some clarity on returning to the office and it looks like I'm only going to have to go in one day a week for quite a while, which is nice. I'm really enjoying going in to the office, but it's costing me £75 plus commuting time every time I do it.
- Car insurance quote for the beetle is slightly cheaper than it was last year.
- Annual service charge bill came in today, and it's not a bill, we're actually £80 in credit for next time. I put aside £20 a month for this in a little pot, so I can spend that.
- My signed copy of the new Richard Osman book is on its way. Would have been nice to have started it today, but will read it at the weekend.
- It's pay day tomorrow.
