Blog ≫ 2021 ≫ Did not go to the office, but I did go to school
As discussed, didn't go into the office today, because of the covid outbreak two weeks ago. Will go in next week. Got lots of anxious texts this morning from thing one, could I bring his PE kit? He forgot it. No I could not, I had to take thing two to school still, and last time I took it I got in trouble with the school for enabling his incompetence. I started work, and realised I didn't have the meeting I thought but did have a presentation to watch. I could still fit this in and get to him by break time before PE. I did, and arranged meeting via mobile phone, isn't modern technology marvellous? However we still ended up either side of a security door that neither of us could get through. I could not get in, he could not get out. In the end we had to go to the school office anyway to hand the bag over. I got in trouble again, don't do it again you very naughty boy, and he got in trouble too. I'm glad the school have their priorities straight.
That Wolfsbane gig, that one that is one of my top favourite gigs of all time, that one, it was thirty years ago this very day. Doesn't time fly? How did I do it? How did I get there and back? Part of how is that I did not drink in those days, not a drop, so when the gig ended I still had state of mind to do complicated train journeys across the country.
