Second week of not drinking, and my second "fastest parkrun of the year" 1, nope I am not seeing a connection...
Very hot out today, I thought it was meant to go off the boil again? I cycled there, and so was sweating before the run even started. Got there in plenty of time so got a good starting position. The main thing that made a difference this week though was that they had volunteer pacemakers. So a load of people all with different times on their shirts, keep up with them and you'll get that time. I saw the twenty-two minute guy was someone I always used to finish at the same time as, so I kept just ahead of him. Still waiting for my official time but I make it 21'35. Think it might be just under that.
Have dropped the boys off at grandpa's house, and am free for the day. Going to book a tip run, get rid of some garden waste, might generate a bit more garden waste after that. Then going to walk into Sandgate with Clare, she will carry on into Folkestone, and I will stop at Orchard Lane for lovely coffee and cake. Then might go to Tesco later to try and sort out an mobile phone deal.
Folkestone parkrun results for event #338. Your time was 00:21:36.
Congratulations on completing your 89th parkrun and your 80th at Folkestone parkrun today. You finished in 30th place and were the 28th Male out of a field of 304 parkrunners and you came 5th in your age category VM45-49. Take a look at this week's full set of results on our website. Your PB at Folkestone parkrun remains 00:20:50. Congratulations on your fastest time this year.
So a second slower than I thought, but still my fastest time for a good while.
Octopus Energy API is good, I'm using it to generate a new graph that you might see at the top of this page. Or I might move it somewhere more appropriate.
Estimated 356 cups of coffee from my espresso machine 2 probably comes to £2.60 a cup (including actual coffee and servicing 2 so not the electricity).
