Dropping some archived energy usage in here, see how it was when we were on holiday? It's flat, almost nothing in the house is on, but still it's costing £1.80 a day. That must be mostly standing charge, almost everything else was unplugged. I was not here for the few days before the others left the house, I was on my pre-holiday holiday, so this was out of my control. Clare took charge though and unplugged nearly everything. So was it really costing that much each day? I suppose it's all the fridges and freezers. It might finally be time to unplug the little beer fridge that I got for my thirtieth birthday and see if that makes a difference. Obviously not get rid of it as a) it might not be the culprit b) I like it still, especially now I hacked it to light up, and c) I never get rid of anything. I don't really need it, we have the big drinks fridge that has actual beer and wine in and that is not as full as it was when I first got it.
Speaking to friends about this, their standing usage while on holiday was double this, so I'm not doing too badly, but it's worth keeping an eye on as prices will double this year and might still treble by next year.
