Blog2024 ≫ I slow cooked a curry in the Ninja overnight...

... but suspiciously the house does not smell of curry this morning. What has gone on? Last one was fine. This one was those vegan fake chicken pieces I got for free from Tesco and some leftover veg. Putting it on a bit longer on a higher setting. It actually would have finished cooking about 2am so maybe it smelled delicious then.

We watched Spiderman: Homecoming again last night, well half of it. That is just the right point to watch it, right after Captain America: Civil War, the intro makes sense now.

Raining out there today, glad it's not a day for a lot of walking. We're off to the cinema in Folkestone this afternoon, to see The Fall Guy. We could go to a better cinema out of town, better seats and screen, but I like to support this one if I can.

Got some DIY to do first, fit a new rollerblind. This involves cutting it down to size too. It'll be fine, I'm sure, I've done one before. I think. I hacked T2's original motorised blind from IKEA to change the colour, had to cut a non-motorised one of the right colour down to size and fit it to the motor of the IKEA automated one. I think I had to change the width of that. Seems a fairly common fix. I can get the Dremel out for the first time in a while as there is an aluminium pole to cut.

At least I don't have to go and feed the cat today. That took about three hours out of yesterday, as I had to give the cat medicine, then wait an hour before feeding it. Twice. It probably doesn't add up to all the time's the cat owner has spent feeding our children, so fair enough.

Heavy rain and a gentle breeze, 10 - 14℃.
