Blog2024 ≫ NHS health check final scores are in

Finally able to open my NHS health report that they sent by secure email. A surprisingly crap IT system used by the NHS.

Healthy person score (HPS): 4.63% Now 3.62% (Healthy: 0% - 10%) Goal 3.62% (Healthy: 0% - 10%)
QRISK score Now 3.62% (Healthy) Goal 3.62% (Healthy)
Heart age 49 49
BMI 22.60 kg/m2 22.60 kg/m2
Systolic blood pressure 118 mmHg 118 mmHg
Total cholesterol(TC) 3.64 mmol/L 3.64 mmol/L
HDL cholesterol 1.13 mmol/L 1.13 mmol/L
TC/HDL ratio 3.22 3.22
Age 51 51

So my target scores are the same as my actual scores, I am practically perfect in every way, that's good. How can I have a target age though?? Am I supposed to stay 51 forever? The only way to do that is to become a vampire isn't it?

Alcohol doesn't go on that final chart, but I scored an 8 "increasing risk". Not sure what that is out of:

My NHS alcohol score

Your Alcohol Usage (AUDIT-C 5-7 and/or AUDIT 8-15) score indicates that your current level of alcohol consumption poses an 'increasing risk' to your health.

When consumed to excess, alcohol can have a range of impacts on health and wellbeing.

Your risk of developing problems will increase with the amount of alcohol you drink. However, a few small changes could make all the difference. Recommendations are for men and women to drink fewer than 14 units spread evenly over a week. Aim to have at least 3 days alcohol-free during that time.

On the subject of beer, I went to the Three Mariners and the Potting Shed after work yesterday. Clare gave me a lift down about half five and I was home again by nine.

Light rain showers and a gentle breeze, 7 - 17℃.
