Blog ≫ 2024 ≫ Slightly dull football
Had a busy day in London, good day though, Someone I work with often was visiting from India, so there were a few of us in to see him, and it made a nice change. Being there on a Tuesday the food offering in Leather Lane market were slightly different. The elusive Tempeh Man was there. He only sells two Malaysian Tempeh dishes, and sometimes he's there and sometimes he's not. Looks like Tuesday is now his regular day there.
Weather also very hot, but not unbearably so. Just a bit of a contrast stepping from the office space with the now fixed air conditioning to the unconditioned parts of the building. Got the normal 7.30ish train in and the 5.30ish train back. In time to walk down to the beach and get the boys an ice cream, and then back for the football. A bit dull but done the job. Hope they pick up the interest a bit in the next rounds. These are supposed to be the best players in the world but they were very cautious, which made it not very interesting.
A confusing day of work today. Normally when I've just been to London it's followed by a Friday, but today seems to be Wednesday and there's a whole lot of week left. At least I have shopping on the way. New Soundcore earbuds arrived yesterday, I have more coffee beans hopefully arriving today as I am out. Then new duvet and pillows and a load of wine arriving later this week.
Free Octopus Energy is back today 1, I missed one of these last weeks by no longer being able to check my personal emails on my work laptop.
Today in 2002 we were off to Glastonbury. Today right back in 1993 we went to the filming of the original Gladiators!
And today right back in 1991 an earlier one from my history, The Primitives, when they came to Southampton Joiners.
