Blog2024 ≫ Folkestone just called for Labour

Folkestone result is in, Clare is coming home. Was slightly delayed on TV by being called at the same time as Keir Starmer's win.

Labour: 86 seats, 32 seats gained, Conservative: 9 seats, 37 seats lost, Liberal Democrat: 9 seats, 7 seats gained, Reform UK: 1 seat, 1 seat gained.

Grant Shapps just got the boot too in Welwyn (home of the head office of Tesco).

Hard to see the result not being even stronger for Labour than predicted at this stage, they have 10x their nearest rival right now. There must be a reason those later to be declared are more right wing.
