Good result in the football, that we watched in our London hotel room last night. Unexpected, by almost everyone I think. A win, a straight win, no penalties, no last minute nerves. I know nothing of football but I said that looked like a penalty, and it was given, though all the commentators on ITV were saying unfortunately no way, it was a fair tackle. Looked like he went in with his studs high though, looked dangerous. Anyway it was given. Good after that that it was a convincing win with another goal to follow.
Hotter in London today, a couple of degrees warmer. We are not quite coming home yet, we have two more days in the office to do. Hope I get a bit more work done today. It's not T1 being in the office that is making me less productive, it is definitely just me being in the office that is making me less productive. I keep getting distracted by other jobs, but I cannot link any of those to anyone walking up to my desk yet. I have stopped and been stopped to talk to people as I go back and forth to the kitchen or the loo, and we're taking the full lunch break here, because we have to. And man I've spent some money this week, though I've tried to keep a lid on it.
Finished my Ann Cleeves crime book last night, I've had this one hanging around as I have not been engrossed in it. It's the first one of hers I've read in her Matthew Venn series. I have enjoyed Vera a lot more but have now started one of her Shetland series.
