Blog2024 ≫ Not terribly productive weekend

I did go and buy the new blinds, but I did not get round to fitting them. I did not move the new treasure chest up to the lounge while Clare was out. I did take three bags of clothes to the charity shop, which is good. I could have taken more, we have lots more, but we have run out of bags. I did run twice, once just me and once with the boys. I did no gardening.

I did take delivery of some exciting new things, the titanium spork bottle opener combo that alpkit call a "Tifoon" (titanium / fork / spoon). It will make a huge difference to all the wild camping adventures I am always going on. Mainly it keeps my weight down when running from zombies after the apocalypse. Also took delivery of something else that will we worth its weight in gold after the zombie apocalypse, a small waterproof folding solar panel with USB socket built in, so I can charge phone and other devices on the go, in the wild. It will clip to my backpack so I can charge while running from the zombies, and keep my hands free to fend them off with my tifoon. I did try it out, first on the balcony in what I thought was direct sun and the charge level of the phone did not go up. It appeared to be charging, but maybe leaving the phone in the direct sun also uses more battery? I moved it indoors again, put it on the window sill and got about 5% charge in 40 minutes, so sounds OK.

Did watch the Star Wars film Rogue One 1 which was quite good, I like how it butts right up to Star Wars: A New Hope 1 though wasn't as convinced as the boys by the CGIing of dead actors. And we watched a load of olympics too.

Spent too long cleaning printer heads, trying to get my AC/DC tickets printed out. I hope we have enough digital backups (especially now I have the solar panel too) but I know people would like hard copies.

Short week this week because of that.

Sunny and a moderate breeze, 14 - 22℃.
