Blog2024 ≫ Admitting defeat

I like to think I am the master packer, surely I can do this hand luggage only? We're only going for ten days! But no, can't quite do it. Just enough pants, t-shirts, three pairs of shorts, swimming and running stuff, a few shirts and nearly enough socks and my bag is ten kilos. We only have a seven kilo limit. So I'm going to check it in. I surrender.

If I was travelling on my own I would travel a bit scummier. I'm already doing my "travel in stuff that's ready to go in the bin" so I don't have to bring it back with me. I would probably take half the t-shirts and only one shirt and rinse it out, but this should be a nice place (actually two nice hotels) and a nice family holiday. They are all checking a bag in anyway, so I will.

If this bag goes missing though I'll be sad, it's got my KISS, Motley Crue and Iron Maiden t-shirts in.

Again writing this before the trip (we're all ready hours before we need to leave, it's great getting a night flight instead of super early like last time) but planning to sit on it until we get back.

Sunny intervals and a gentle breeze, 13 - 22℃.
