We had a proper family day out today, but without going out for dinner, imagine. After parkrun we headed to Dover Castle for some free entertainment. We have already paid for our membership for the year so should get more use out of it than we do. We went first to the cafe, where there was a power cut. Then to the tour of the tunnels, which we didn't do last time because it was too busy. Imaging being down in the tunnels beneath Dover Castle during the power cut. I imagine one tour group was, though it did only last a few minutes, and they have emergency lightig down there anyway. It would have been fine. This is a non story.
After, a walk up and down Dover high street, and into a gaming shop where T2 bought some Pokemon cards. He's suddenly really into this because some friends at school are.
The boys got Subway for lunch, but Clare and I got sandwiches in M&S and took them to our next stop, the cinema. This was T2's call, a new animation called The Wild Robot. It was good, for a U certificate kids film.
As our lunch was really late we're just having some salad for tea. Well that was the plan, but I might chuck some chips in the Ninja to accompany mine.
Quiet night in watching TV I think. We both went to the Potting Shed after work yesterday. I goto ut at 4.30 and we fast walked there, and fast walked back again too. We had planned to get the bus back but just missed one.
A clear sky and a moderate breeze, 10 - 17℃.
