Blog2024 ≫ First round of Glastonbury tickets gone

Glastonbury tickets with coach went on sale yesterday, and I was in the queue. I was on my work laptop and my phone, on two different networks, as seemingly that makes a difference. I was in a group with some others, and somehow one of them had raced ahead in the queue and got to the checkout. He was just using it as a trial run for Sunday, didn't want coach tickets for himself. I got a frantic phone call "there's options, do you want to leave at... no they're gone. OK 3am Wednesday or 6pm Thursday are... no, they're gone". The remaining tickets went while he navigated the check out page.

Think it bodes well for Sunday, though maybe it as just random that he got through quickly. The checkout process on Sunday will be quicker, no coach options, just enter users and payment details.

I did start getting nervous about it, do I want to go, really? What will it be like? And if I did end up getting coach tickets how would I even organise getting to the coach? That's one thing off the list.

I was surprised at how many coach options there were. Some lucky people will have got coach places from Dover and from Fareham.

I have gone to sleep every day this week thinking about how I'll get to Glastonbury and what I'd have to pack.

Gigiversaries today for David Baddiel and Rob Newman (1992), Chumbawamba (1995), and Frank Black in 2000. A Lonodon one, not the one I got my signed posters at.

Sunny intervals and light winds, 5 - 12℃.
