Went to Parkrun this morning to find no-one there. They had cancelled it because of the weather, but not being on social media I did not know. Now I could have done by own run up and down Folkestone Leas, I see a few people were, but it was a bit windy, so I did not. Went home and had a couple of coffees instead.
Then, to Canterbury. Nearly didn't make it. The A20 was closed because of problems in Dover. We just pulled on to the road as it closed down, but we were too committed to reverse back out again. It did clear after twenty minutes or so, so we were able to pull off, turn round, and head to Canterbury another way. Got to Canterbury and had a lovely lunch in The Foundry, then a little shopping, then back. Clare dropped me off at The Potting Shed in Hythe, I had a couple more real ales, then got a chinese takeaway and a the bus home. Everything timed really nicely.
When I got back the family had paid for Nativity II against my express wishes so we're wathing that now.
47Kph winds and rain, 7 - 9℃.
Estimated 2164 cups of coffee from my espresso machine 1 probably comes to £0.97 a cup (including the coffee and servicing 1 so not the 'leccy).
