Blog2025 ≫ Disasterun 180

Final parkrun of runuary 2025, and my last runs in January are usually my fastest. Nearly four weeks now of running every day and not drinking. But today was a disaster! I didn't get to parkrun with lots of time to spare, no change there, but then when I did start running I realised I needed to go back to the toilet. I realised this as the run was starting, but I ran for a few hundred metres before really deciding. So I'm properly starting after everyone else. And then, I forgot to start my watch anyway! So my official time is over twenty-eight minutes, but my time on my watch is twenty-five minutes. I did keep running for the extra kilometre-and-a-half so that my watch time, my time on Garmin and Strava is about right for the distance at twenty-five mins. Still a terrible time all round.
