Blog2025 ≫ Actual robot wars in Hythe

OK not actual robot wars, but look at the size of this remote controlled tank-style mower I saw on my run yesterday. It's the size of a Robot Wars house robot.

Not been out for today's run yet, though I have a spare hour now before work. Will go at lunchtime when it warms up a bit.

There is free Octopus Energy 1 today, at half ten. I've put a wash in now that can go in the dryer then, but I am starting to think the wash uses more energy than the dryer. My energy monitoring plugs should be monitoring this but they are not right now, they need some kind of update to the homeassistant script.

My other automation that turns things on when I settle into the study, and turns things off when it looks like I have left is working nicely.

Sunny and a moderate breeze, 0 - 7℃.

  1. Join Octopus Energy here and we both earn money.
