Blog ≫ 2025 ≫ Now for a week off
I have worked quite hard this week, trying to get this project finished before being off! For a whole week! Just about got there I think, have left a couple of small things for people next week, but it would be good to go live on Monday if they wanted it to. It's not actually going live on Monday and the closest it gets to going live is a walk through on Tuesday week. Still nothing for me to do and I can just relax.
I'd normally be in the pub already, but worked until about six. Then decided to stay in and not drinking as there was a threat of someone needing a lift, but we might be all good anyway. We're going to just sit, and maybe watch another "Marvel What If..?". Yeah I need to wrap that in quotes to make it clear the dots and the question mark are part of the title.
An absolutely pitiful week of exercise, I just have not felt like going out because of the cold. Yesterday I did walk a bit as I was in London, so that's always enough of a walk from station to office and back. As a bonus Clare had come and collected the car to pick one of the boys up from a club. So I had to walk back from the station too, so not home until gone seven. At least I got a bargain train ticket to and from London. A relative bargain anway, I saved myself thirty quid. Still not sure how or why but sometimes the tickets are cheaper.
Tomorrow I'm thinking of not even going to parkrun, if it's this cold again I might skip it, will see. T1 has not been coming with me, he's going to wait until the spring and it warms up.
Saturday afternoon I might go back to the pub, not sure yet. Clare is out at lunchtime, I can go after that.
Then a whole week of freedom. Will finally get round to the exciting new DIY electrics, try that new kind of zigbee light switch.
Didn't go for Ozzy Osbourne tickets today in the end. A sensible saving of money, they would have been hundreds of pounds if I'd even got them. Unlikely even to have got them, I think the nephews tried but didn't succeed. It is an amazing sounding lineup, but I've seen most of these acts before.
On the topic of big gigs though, T1 has gone and got a ticket for Kendrick Lamar? WHO? I can't convince him my music is the best music, I have to let him go his own way. He is rebelling against my cool indie rock stylings.
