After a little shopping to get things for everyone's tea on Sunday, I topped off my lazy Saturday with a late afternoon trip to the Potting Shed. Nice idea going to the pub when it's quiet, I like it then, but then I stayed until it got busy, until 9pm. Different friends came in at different points, and it was too good to leave. So even with my foolish earlier claims of maybe being home to have tea, I was not even home in time to watch Gladiators. I brought a chinese takeaway in with me and it was good.
Febrewery challenge is out the window isn't it, if I used my free weekend to only go back to the same pub again. I'm not taking it seriously, it's not happening.
Oh I did at least achieve something on Saturday, I flushed and descaled the coffee machine. And I learned a new thing! I have had to look up instructions online for how to descale my Sage Barista Pro machine, because it shows different codes on the screen to tell you when to do the different stages. I only just realised it is actually showing a word on the screen that is a heavy clue to what bit to do next. It goes through three stages, descale the main bit, then descale the hot water bit, and then descale the steam wand.
So now I have twigged this I don't have to look it up again. Unless I forgot by next time, which is quite likely.
I see there are newer versions of my machine now, and now I know more about it I can appreciate the differences in the other machines. I like my one, not sure I'd like the fully automated Oracle Touch machine 1 but maybe. Two grand though!
Guessing 2306 cups of coffee from my espresso machine 1 probably comes to £0.95 a cup (including 3+ years of coffee beans and now servicing 1 so not the 'leccy).
