This guy!
When parkrun falls on the 22nd, it's a tutu parkrun.
Had a super busy day of work on Friday, following a super busy week of work really. Got away on time though,, no issues. Managed to use some free energy before heading out on Friday afternoon. Sign up here to join Octopus Energy 1. And to the Potting Shed! A nice couple of pints there, then met my friends who had been out walking. Another one with them, then we went for a curry at Vinodhon. While I was there a friend from London texted to say he was in Dover for the football and would be doing the parkrun in the morning. So I made plans to get up slightly earlier and head there instead of Folkestone.
Dover waterfront parkrun is a great route, an L-shaped course along the water front and the pier. We went pretty slowly so I could go at my friend's pace and we could chat along the way as I would not have time to hang around after we had plans for the day (more later). I'll do this one again soon I think at my own pace. This being my first one it counts as a PB, and so my next one will be too!
Dover Waterfront parkrun results for event #72. Your time was 00:33:27.
Congratulations on completing your 186th parkrun and your 1st at Dover Waterfront parkrun today. You finished in 117th place out of a field of 158 parkrunners. You were the 79th male and came 6th in your age category VM50-54. Take a look at this week's full set of results on our website. Well done on your first result at Dover Waterfront parkrun. We have set this as your PB.
186 parkruns for me, my friend has done more than 100 different locations. I've done eight.
Don't know what it was like in Folkestone, but in Dover they didn't get the memo about running in a tutu. Maybe I even dreamed that they did it in Folkestone? The next tutu run is in November, I'll see then.
Editors fifteen years ago today in Folkestone. Haven't been to too many gigs in Folkestone!
Drizzle and a gentle breeze, 6 - 12℃.
