Up to 32℃ in parts of London. Possibly in the part where I was, it felt very very hot indeed outside Kings Cross station when walking back... The rest of the day was good. Clare dropped me off this morning, and I had a normal commute in. Train was quite busy, I got a seat though, and as I bonus I had to ask someone to move. There were three laptops spread out on the table, all windows laptops of course. Mac laptop users are more considerate I think. Clare thinks windows laptop users have to work harder so are more likely to work on the train.
Office busy, everyone in because we had a team lunch today. Our manage brought in pastries for our stand up meeting, then when all that was over about time to head to lunch. There were twelve of us going to Kin, sort of Thai sort of generic Asian, very nice though. I'm not so keen to eat in a big group, but I should give this place another go when it is quieter. I had an alcohol free Lucky Saint beer that I did not like.
Mostly meetings in the afternoon, meetings about documentation, not super exciting.
Train home was fine, no delays because of the heat. Then a very hot walk home through Sandgate. Lots of people out on the beach still making the most of it.
I'm having a shepherds pie for my tea I made ages ago. Forgot to get it out of the freezer, so it's in the microwave now. I will finish it off in the oven but I'm going to be eating late.
Pay day tomorrow! Will help towards this new bathroom. Getting a third quote tomorrow. Haven't had the second one in yet. The first one I'm not confident in, he's pressing us to sign a contract and sort the details later, no thanks. I think that company would do a good job but it sounds like they have a standard bathroom that they fit and we shouldn't worry about the details. He's just a bit pushy. Second one I'm more confident in, he had better ideas, but haven't seen details or price yet. Will see what the third one says.
A clear sky and a gentle breeze, 14 - 23℃.
