I got called by work within minutes of posting that last thing. There was an incident, it should not have been an incident, there's a small problem with the site that can be worked around, but also a small problem with the alert making it a bit too sensitive. I was thinking of changing this and wish I had done it in advance. This gives me incentive to work on both of these issues next week, which is kind of the point of rotating us on call like this.
I was just heading out the door for a walk (with my laptop) when the phone went, so was held up by about an hour. When I did get out the weather was turning a bit and people were leaving the beach. By the time I'd got to Sandgate though it was hot again. Too many visitors from out of town, all a bit annoying. They will leave a load of litter. I already see loads of disposable barbecues and "bags for live" full of empty bottles piling up near t he bins.
Tonight I'm getting a Chinese takeaway, going to collect that in a minute (I can because I'm not drinking) and then we're watching Thor Ragnarok. Next stop Infinity Wars!
Really hay fevery day today.
A clear sky and a gentle breeze, 16 - 23℃.
