Blog2025 ≫ Sandgate and Folkestone are carnage in this weather

Cars are parked all through Seabrook for the beach, every single place where people don't normally park. I just took Clare to the coastal park as she's meeting a friend at her beach hut near there. That road to the coastal park is a single lane really but with passing spaces. Cars are in all the passing spaces, and there's nowhere to park at the end of it it so it's pretty much blocked. There's one other road out of there but that is snarled up too. We just about squeezed in there, cheeky seven point turn in the road and I got out again. I can see people getting properly stuck there. The beaches are predictably quite popular with out of towners today.

Just off to walk back to Sandgate to meet her now. Must remember my laptop. Luckily have not been called for work yet.

It was just 28℃ in the car, even though the weather forecast says 26℃ round here.

Sunny and a gentle breeze, 16 - 26℃.
