Well of course The Senseless Things must have played small venues everywhere. I really like them. Just saw this plaque today for the first time round the side of the hotel where Bottoms was.
Setlist.fm tells me it was 15th April 1989. This was not long after my first proper gig gig I went to, (though there was Madonna in 1987) though this was not that gig. It's the year before I first saw The Senseless Things.
Thundery showers and a moderate breeze, 14 - 21℃.
I have seen Senseless Things probably twice; Cropdusters @ Eastpoint Centre ('90), and Gosport Festival 94 @ Walpole Park (Gosport) (1994), though I still have some bragging tagging to do so this may go up.
