Blog2016 ≫ Now I have all this with a raspberry pi!

⬆️XBMC touch screen kitchen jukebox

Interesting looking back on this, I used to use xbmc 1 for music but now I just use mpd and have the raspberry pi 2 as a headless music player in the kitchen, that's my kitchen jukebox. I might get a touch screen on it at some point but for now just knowing that it's playing my music on shuffle, and the remote control can skip a track, or instantly play something from a favourite artist is just fine.

  1. XBox Media Centre, some software that would run on an old xbox or other computer hardware to play movies and music etc. I used to talk about this a lot...
  2. Credit card sized super cheap computer, awesome.
