Dozens of migrants who spent more than 30 hours at sea have been taken to Dover by water, the Conservative MP for Gosport has said.
It comes after an earlier report that the boat would be brought to Gosport, prompting a gathering of protesters in the Hampshire town.
It is a minority of people protesting, not everyone in Hampshire is like that.

The motto refers to a medieval legend where Bishop Henry de Blois (brother of King Stephen) found sanctuary from a storm in the Solent in 1144 and named the landing site "God's Port". While historians note that the "God's Port" etymology is likely a 19th-century invention (with the town's actual early name potentially stemming from "goose" or "gorse"), the phrase remains a proud centerpiece of the borough's civic crest and identity.
This is interesting too, Gosport would not have got its nickname of Turk Town today, it would be called Send-em-back-town.
Two frigates from the Imperial Ottoman Navy, the Mirat-ı Zafer and the Sirag-ı Bahri, arrived in the Portsmouth area on a courtesy and training visit with a combined crew of around 460 men. While Portsmouth reportedly denied the ships permission to dock directly at the naval base, the people of Gosport warmly welcomed the Ottoman sailors, who moored off Hardway in Gosport for over six months. This extended presence, the arm local reception, and the dedicated plot of graves led neighbours and outsiders to dub Gosport "Turk Town".
