Portsmouth Guildhall Portsmouth

Festival in Guildhall Square, compered by Mark Lamarr. Firework Party, The Rubber Bishops (Bill Bailey + maybe Kevin Eldon?), Midway Still, Alan Parker, Atilla The Stockbroker, Eat, Back To The Planet, Mega City Four, Trevor & Simon + more.

Steve Coogan was at one of the nights of this, I didn't see him though. Possibly I only went on the Sunday?

How did I have this down as 1990 originally 1?

  1. Because I got every single date in this gigraphy wrong somehow...
  2. And possibly not.
  3. Portsmouth Guildhall.

I was at this one, more from this year in Paul's gig history for 1993. I saw Pop Will Eat Itself at least 4 times; Brixton Academy (1991), Portsmouth Guildhall (1992), Big Top Frenzy @ Portsmouth Guildhall ('93), and Essential Music Festival @ Stanmer Park (1995), though I still have some bragging tagging to do so this may go up. Part of every gig I went to from 1987 to 2026. An obvious step from my Best Gigs Ever blog post. Yeah I know it's a bit nerdy, let's let that go though, I'm enjoying remembering these things.
