Got the new extractor fans in the bathroom. It took the guy nearly four hours to do, so we got our money's worth. There's a new wall mounted one in the en-suite that goes straight out through the wall, and a fake vent / cap put where the old extractor was. Then in the other bathroom there's another new high powered extractor on the ceiling where the old non-working one was, and that vents out through some big solid insulated tubes that run through the loft and go out through the roof where the original en-suite one did.
Going into the loft I had to move some stuff for him to work, so got some things down. Things I'd forgotten we still had! There was a backup wheely hand luggage up there, Clare's old one. It was all safely wrapped, so is good, but we don't want it. Can take it to the charity shop filled up with more charity shop stuff! Then there was a Trunki case, probably charity shop too, we don't know anyone small enough to want it any more. Playmobil galore, and the comics I knew were there. Getting them down gives me an opportunity to look at them all again.
I also found a box of t-shirts, and luckily it has the Senseless Things 1990 t-shirt in that I got for helping out at that gig, and the Madonna "Who's That Girl?" world tour 1987, the souvenir from my first gig. Clare and the boys thought it would be worth money, until I told them it was a knock-off one bought outside Wembley.
Also found a David Devant one and an original Darkness one and that Transvision Vamp one that Kerry got signed by Wendy James. Unfortunately the Darkness one is a bit dull and has no dates on it, but I will wear it if I get to that gig next year. Pictures to come. Wondering about framing some of these t-shirts insted of trying to wear them again.
Have used the extractor fans now, and though it wasn't a very exciting way to spend that amount of money at least the bathroom mirror did not steam up. I guess I will repaint the bathroom ceiling now it should not get wet with condensation again.
Oh and now Clare suggests going to get the beetle before work starts today.
Friday, hopefully an interesting day of fixing fun things and learning something at work. No actual plans to go to the pub yet, might save it as we are planning to go to Canterbury and back to Floc tomorrow.
Sunny and light winds, 8 - 15℃.
