A work freebie from NME, we nearly didn't get in because I couldn't prove I was who I was claiming to be (I wasn't). I basically put a bribe in the charity collection bucket and they let it go.

I saw Gene probably 10 times, + Gene related acts 1 times; Essential Music Festival @ Stanmer Park ('95), Glastonbury (1995), Tiger @ Mean Fiddler (1996), V Festival @ Hylands Park (1997), Kentish Town Forum ('99), Pavement (or possibly Gene + Ocean Colour Scene) @ Shepherds Bush Empire ('99), The Scala (2000), London Astoria ('01), Reading Festival (2001), + Hammersmith Odeon (2025). Part of every gig I was at from '87 to 2026. A natural step from my Best gigs of all time blog post. Yeah I know very nerdy, let's let that go though, I'm having fun reminiscing about this stuff.
